Give God a prayer to answer

"God can't help us until He has a prayer to answer! In other words, He can't do anything about a situation unless we ask Him to. God only helped the Egyptians once they 'cried out for help' (Exodus 2:23) He had heard their groanings but didn't act on their complaints - He acted as soon as 'their cry...went up to God...He heard their groanings' (Exodus 2:24) God answered their prayers because of a covenant He had made with their father Abraham. 'God remembered His covenant with Abraham..and..took notice of them' (Exodus 2:24-25) He took notice of them because they were Abraham's children. They got it on credit and so do we! That means we need to ask God to help us. We can't just assume. He won't unless we ask Him to. There are times when we may get stressed about something and are so worried about worrying about the problem, we may think we don't have time to pray about it! We MUST make time to ask God, even if it's a quick prayer under our breath. God needs a prayer to answer! 'Ask and you will receive' (John 16:23-24) This encourages me to keep on asking. I know I MUST!" Since I entered this in my journal I have remembered it a number of times and will say to my Heavenly Father " God, I'll give you a prayer to answer" - and then I will talk to Him about whatever it is. Talk to God! Give Him a prayer to answer. You may surprise yourself when you realise just how much God loves answering your prayers! Be careful what you pray for though...
